Intro a bit long - should be 30 seconds or less
I wouldn't classify this as country. Singer has more of a "pop" or hard rock voice. Has possibilities. More of a rock feel.
Generally you want the hook in the first 30 seconds and you don't even start the lyric until then!
That said, the groove is classic shuffle rock and is memorable. I don't think this fits country at all, but who am I to say.
It is an interesting "outlaw" kind of lyric, but I think it could be a little more developed. The story is good, but it is one of those 8 out of 10 songs. Very good, but just a little shy of the mark.
One of the problems with sending songs to publishers is that if you don't get a reply you don't know why. I will tell you this song is good, but if you are trying to sell it, maybe a little work on story.
